Just one goal in his initial ten Premier League appearances this season had many wondering whether Dominic Calvert-Lewin's peak were behind him.

However, a just four weeks later, he stands as the most discussed forward in England following scoring seven goals in 6 back-to-back games.

His newest goal, in a tie versus Sunderland, took his tally to eight, establishing him as the top English goalscorer in the Premier League this term.

A Stunning Revival

The 28-year-old moved to Leeds United on a free transfer in the summer, following a nine-year period with Everton that was blighted by injuries in its final stages.

But, the statistics behind his revival in Daniel Farke's new counter-attacking 3-5-2 system are genuinely remarkable.

His six-game scoring run puts him in elite company as just the 11th English player to score in six or more successive Premier League matches.

To put that into perspective, even England captain Harry Kane did not achieve a run of this length - his top is two separate five-match runs.

And the only English striker to outdo Calvert-Lewin in recent years is Jamie Vardy, who embarked on an eight-game scoring run for Leicester City in 2019.
